Lowe Dreesen Miller - Community First

David Lowe was Honored to Emcee the 2025 National Civics Bee in Pulaski County

On April 29, 2025, David Lowe of Lowe Dreesen Miller had the honor of serving as the emcee for the 2025 National Civics Bee® held in Pulaski County, Missouri. Hosted by the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Civic Trust® of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the event brought together some of the region’s brightest middle school students to showcase their knowledge of civics and their passion for community engagement.

Seventeen finalists from across the region advanced to the live event after a competitive essay round. The live Bee, held at the Parker Educational Center in Waynesville, featured two rounds of civics questions and a final Q&A segment. Students were evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges--including Judge Kevin Hillman, Luge Hardmon, and COL James Scott--based on their understanding of civic principles, clarity of communication, and ability to support their answers with evidence and examples.

David Lowe helped guide the event with professionalism and enthusiasm, encouraging students as they demonstrated their grasp of the U.S. Constitution, government processes, and civic responsibility.

Top honors went to:

  • 1st Place: Brandon Bullard, Waynesville Middle School
  • 2nd Place: Charlie Fan, Ladue Middle School
  • 3rd Place: Grant Good, Waynesville Middle School

These outstanding students now advance to compete at the state and national levels, where they will contend for significant educational scholarships and recognition.

As a community leader and advocate for civic engagement, David Lowe was proud to support the next generation of informed citizens and honored to take part in an event that reflects a deep commitment to the constitutional principles that uphold our democracy.
