About

David Michael Lowe was born in Denton, Texas. David is a 1986 graduate of the University of the Ozarks, Clarksville, Arkansas, where he graduated with honors (magna cum laude) in obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree. While in college, David was awarded a three-year ROTC scholarship and was commissioned through ROTC in May 1986 into the Army Reserve as a second lieutenant of the Adjutant General’s Corps. David deferred his entry into the military to study law at the University of Arkansas School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor in May 1989. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Arkansas and entered active duty in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Army in 1990. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri in 1996.

David is a graduate of Command and General Staff College, the Judge Advocate General's Corps Officer Advanced Course, and the Judge Advocate General’s Corps Officer Basic Course. David’s military assignments include serving during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm at Fort Knox, Kentucky. During his assignment at Fort Knox, Kentucky, David served as a legal assistance officer, prosecuting attorney, and environmental law specialist. He tried more than 30 courts-martial as a prosecutor at Fort Knox and criminal defense attorney during his assignment at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. In June 1997, David transitioned from active-duty service to the Missouri Army National Guard and entered private law practice. During his 20 years of service in the Missouri Army National Guard, David was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq, from 2007 to 2008 as the command judge advocate for the 35th Engineer Brigade at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. David also served as the state judge advocate from August 2009 to 2017 when he retired in the rank of colonel.

Since June 1997, David has been a trial lawyer in private practice with his office located “on the square” in downtown Waynesville. David primarily concentrates his legal representation in the areas of Civil Law, Injury Law, Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate Law, Decedent’s Estates, Real Estate, and Adoption Law. His extensive trial experience includes Criminal Law, Injury Law, Probate Law, Decedent’s Estates, Contract Law and Adoptions. Additional areas of David’s practice include Real Estate Law, Landlord-Tenant Law, Criminal Law, and Military Law.

In addition to the private practice of law, David served in the 25th Judicial Circuit of Missouri as the Waynesville Municipal Court judge from January 2011 to December 2020. David presided over trials in a wide variety of cases ranging from assault, theft, drug offenses, driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

David is married to Victoria LeeAnn Lowe (Fiebelman) and is actively involved with their four wonderful children—Grace, Sara, Jon, and Lauren—and grandchildren. In addition to being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, white-water rafting, boating, and camping.
